Our firm specializes in forensic engineering and disaster recovery.  We use our scientific and engineering knowledge to help people and companies when they need it the most- when critical property, equipment, systems or data have been threatened by catastrophe or litigation. 

We have an immediate opportunity for a Systems Administrator based out of our Deerfield, IL office. If you have a passion for leveraging technology to create business value, enjoy a challenge, and have a curious mind this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support using a customer oriented focus
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain VMware infrastructure
  • Be able to manage accounts in an Active Directory Environment
  • Monitor and Maintain EMC Storage
  • Be able to setup accounts and maintain users in Office 365
  • Help Support Dynamics CRM Infrastructure
  • Assist in maintaining our SQL servers by performing performance tweaks, troubleshooting
  • Audit and maintain backups with CommVault. 
  • Be able to administer users and call queues in Microsoft Skype for Business Online.
  • Assist in updating, maintaining, and customizing SharePoint Online
  • Maintain network with use of Cisco and Juniper network technology
  • Stay up to date with technology and be enthusiastic when learning new systems
  • Be extremely thorough when documenting changes, processes, or trouble tickets
  • Assist employees with trouble tickets as they come in
  • Take ownership of problems and use all resources and talents to come to acceptable resolution on issues.  This person needs to be very good at troubleshooting. 
  • Work with IT team to develop standardized processes and checklists. 
  • Provide non-business hour 7 X24 support both remote and onsite with on call rotation
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks on their scheduled deadlines
  • Provide training when needed

 

Job Requirements

Technical or specialized knowledge/skills

  • Strong Active Directory administration experience
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Server and desktop environments
  • Good experience with Microsoft portfolio including Azure, Office 365, Exchange, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Skype for Business, and Great Plains.
  • Good experience with VMware server and network management and configuration
  • Experience with SAN and storage, preferably EMC
  • Experience working with SIP and VOIP services
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with CommVault Backup Software
  • Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, Cisco and Juniper, as well as network security
  • Experience with Okta MFA a plus

Non-Technical Skills

  • Strong Analytical and trouble shooting skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) with specific ability to translate detailed technical details to non-technical audience.
  • Proven track record of documenting work
  • Someone who is very self-motivated and who can stay focused and prioritize work without being micro managed. 
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and ethical practices
  • Ability to accept responsibility and accountability for actions
  • Ability to adapt to new changes
  • Ability to work well with others, both in department and with the rest of the business
