Job Description

The Marketing Manager actively supports the company’s strategic growth and development through effective branding, advertising, sales, and communication efforts.  Under the guidance and oversight of the Vice President of Marketing, the incumbent brings analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills to the role, providing input into the marketing communications plan and its execution, and collaborating with all members of the marketing and leadership teams. The incumbent effectively champions Envista’s marketing communications strategy as a means for accomplishing goals for client growth and retention, increasing market share, and maintaining the company’s prominent and favorable industry reputation.


  • In consultation with the Vice President of Marketing and working with the Marketing Project Manager, oversees day-to-day implementation of the organization’s global marketing communications plan.  Identifies opportunities for positive exposure and image enhancement, and recommends and coordinates the strategic frequency, breadth, and depth of effective initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains effective interactions with public relations consultants, graphics and web designers, IT professionals, media buyers, printing companies, and others selected to support and promote Envista’s marketing strategy.
  • Identifies and coordinates branding initiatives that advance marketing goals; generates ideas and brings technical expertise to assessments and decisions; analyzes external needs and resources, develops and monitors branding project plans and time lines, and monitors spending to assure the responsible allocation of budgeted financial resources.  Assesses success of initiatives and recommends refinements as necessary.
  • Serves as the creative manager for the company’s branding, promotions, publicity, and public relations processes and tools, including, but not necessarily limited to email marketing communications,  print content, thought-leadership/educational content, website management, social media utilization, tradeshow and association resources, direct mail campaigns, and relevant collateral materials.
  • In collaboration with, and under the general guidance of the Vice President of Marketing, plans and executes advertising opportunities through such venues as business and trade journal articles, speaking engagements, and sponsorships.
  • In collaboration with Marketing Project Manager, prepares various presentations for the organization’s marketing, promotion, education, or communication purposes; applies skills in using a variety of audio-visual software; delivers presentations to target audiences as required.  
  • Stays abreast of industry information, development, and trends and participate in approved continuing education endeavors; maintains an understanding of the internal and external factors affecting the business from Envista and the clients’ perspective; participates in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.
  • Oversees, or participates in overseeing, the work of marketing coordinators, marketing trade show coordinators and marketing project coordinators, in efforts to promote a team environment.
  • Functions as an effective member of the team, assisting co-workers as needed and learning from colleagues and supervisors; supports the goals of the department, division, and organization; participates in special assignments and activities as required or approved; demonstrate initiative in the interest of the client and the organization.
  • Upholds the values of Envista Forensics, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity and the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; conducts oneself in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization. Maintains the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in any disclosure of information related to Envista and its endeavors.
  • Adheres to all applicable State Insurance Regulation requirements and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards; assumes personal responsibility for continuing education and any applicable professional designations as required.


Job Requirements

Basic understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the global insurance industry and professional services marketing communications; skills in analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing, prioritizing, and reporting pertinent information; creativity; research skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; keen service orientation and ability to grasp and respond to varying client needs; problem-solving; sound judgment and objectivity; care, compassion, and respect for co-workers and clients; commitment to professional and personal growth and development; commitment to continuous improvement ; team-oriented work style; attention to detail and accuracy; effective time management and organization skills; basic mathematical and finance skills applicable to budget develop and management; ability to interpret policies, procedures, and similar technical content;  fine-motor skills; commitment to confidentiality and ability to discretely handle sensitive information; skills in using routine office equipment and in a variety of office and creative software applications, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, data base management, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite, web publishing, Google Adwords and webinars; ability to learn systems such as CRM; skills in operating routine office and audio-visual equipment

Baccalaureate degree in a related field. 5-9 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or public relations, with specific experience working with international marketing communications programs and leading the development of digital content development. Previous management experience required. Experience in professional services industry (i.e. accounting, legal, etc.) preferable.
