PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Develop, end-to-end, one-time and continuous data integrations (ETL) using SSIS based on requirements directly gathered or provided by business staff or analyst.
  • Utilize SQL DQS or other similar tools to maintain Data Quality in managed systems.
  • Create Stored Procedures, Views, Staging Tables, Triggers, Functions, Indexes and other similar SQL objects.
  • Maintain ownership of projects and tasks, working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner encountered that cannot directly address.
  • Analyze and review existing integrations for optimization.  Refactor code as necessary.
  • Respond to break/fix issues with integrations.
  • Create design and test plans for all developments.
  • Work in broader Development team to assist with larger projects and improve overall development operations.
  • Provide coaching to less experienced team members.
  • Commit to and deliver continuous improvement of IT functions and broader business functions.
  • Participate in stakeholder discussions for system designs.
  • Work with ABA (Associate Business Analyst) to assure system documentation is accurate and update when changes are made or new developments created.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of industry trends and new technologies relevant to back-end development.
  • Participate in on-call escalation rotation
  • Performs other IT duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

TECHNICAL OR SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Comprehensive Knowledge of and Strong Experience with MS SQL Server 2012+, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and T-SQL (Transactional SQL).
  • Strong Skills in Data Mapping.
  • Strong Understanding of RDM (Relational Database Model) including the ability to work with basic non-MS SQL source systems such as MS Access, MS Excel, MySQL, or similar database engines.
  • Knowledge of and Experience with DQS (Data Quality Services) or similar tools appropriate for a SQL Server Environment.
  • Experience working in TFS (Team Foundation Server) for source code management strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of working with integration between on-premise and cloud-based platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Dynamics GP a major plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) beneficial.
  • U-SQL knowledge or experience a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with C# (C-Sharp) or JS (Javascript) not required, but a plus.

  • Strong analytical, creative and trouble shooting skills.
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) with specific ability to translate detailed technical details to non-technical audience.
